Huang Chung-kuang(黃重光)
Born in Taichung in 1941. During the Feb 28 incident, his parents helped then Taichung mayor Huang Ke-li to escape the attack of the masses.
While in the military service, he hosted a party for his friend who was a Army Officer Academy and was inflicted into “Taiwan Independent Self-government, Chiang Ping-hsing and others case”. Arrested on 1963 and Huang was sentenced to 5 years. Supported by his Christian faith, he managed to live through those hard years.
Released in 1968, but Huang were running cafes in Kaohsiung, and many political prisoners and advocates patronized. He hopes there will be no more political persecution in Taiwan in the future.
