Born in October 1948 in Chiayi.
On December 10, 1979, he participated in the World Human Rights Day event in Kaohsiung.
On January 23, 1980, he was arrested and taken to Jingmei Detention Center. On June 2, he was sentenced to 10 months by the Taipei District Court. On August 11, the Supreme Court upheld the verdict for the crime of "intimidation through violent acts and complicity". After the verdict he was transferred to Guishan Taipei Prison. On October 22, he was released.
