Born on December 28, 1937, in Huangku (now XintanRoad), Xindian.
In 1962, he went to Osaka, Japan, for mountaineer training, and stayed in Japan. He was arrested on October 12 in Tokyo for meeting with his friend Kao Chia-Hung. Then he was sent back to Taiwan for interrogation at the Security Bureau of Garrison Comman. On March 28, 1963, he was charged with "suspicion of rebellion" and sentenced to 3 years of Reform Education and sent to Labor and Education Center.
He was released on April 13, 1966.
